“ What a great restaurant! We drove over from our home in St. Petersburg to purchase a new car at Beaver Toyota, and our salesperson (shout out to Luan!) recommended St Augustine Fish Camp. We are so glad we took his recommendation (along with great Yelp reviews) and decided to dine here. The atmosphere was lively & entertaining, the food was absolutely delicious, and our server, Randy L, was just the best, despite it being a crazy-busy Saturday evening between the Christmas & New Year's holidays. My husband had a tasty cup of clam chowder, we shared the blue crab cakes with potatoes & seasonal vegetables entree (SO good & the moistest crab cakes we've ever had, containing much more crab than you would expect). We had white chocolate cranberry bread pudding for dessert & it was the perfect way to end the long day - heavenly! We will definitely be back when we're in the area, and we hope we luck out and snag Randy as our waiter again. Oh, and I must add that the great speakers playing music in the restroom made me want to stay in there, lol. ”
“ My family and I stumbled upon this place and to our luck, it was the best food we had during our entire St Augustine trip! We sat outside which we were reluctant about because it was cold, however, the heaters kept us nice and cozy. I can't say enough about the dishes we ordered. Every single item was amazing, no complaints at all. Everything came out hot and fresh and tasted great! I definitely would recommend to anyone looking for the best seafood in the area with a nice atmosphere! ”
“ The restaurant itself could a a little tricky to find. Not in the most populated area of St. Augustine, but it was situated by the water. We ate inside but had a very nice view. There were 8 of us who were in the area for a golf trip. That usually means 8 separate checks. No problem. I picked the venue using Yelp where I saw it had some great reviews and a very nice, not to highly priced, menu. We all started out with some celebratory libations. For me it was a martini. I believe that 3 or 4 of us ordered the Broiled Seafood Platter which consisted of flounder, shrimp and scallops. I don't know if this restaurant is related to the Fish Camp near Hilton Head, but the taste certainly was very good. It could pass for cousins. I'm glad everyone like it otherwise I would lose my right to pick the venue next year. ”
“ It has been over 2 years since we last visited SAFC and decided to celebrate La Jefa's Birthday and got reserved seats at 545 PM. Great ambiance, chill music, guests seem happy being there-and so are we! Ordered beers and sweet drinks and got appetizers-Calamari, Ceviche, and a dozen steamed oysters. They were all delicious as expected. For the main dishes, we got Grilled Salmon, the Pork Chop dinner, and the Seafood Linguini-just needed a pinch of salt I thought. Our server Kayla was awesome serving up Chocolate Mousse cake for dessert and has been very attentive throughout the evening. We will definitely be back :) #supportlocal904 ”
“ We arrived early evening and were not greeted by a hostess and felt necessary to ask the bar tender if it was self seating. Shortly after that we were seated by a hostess that offered a choice of seating. The restaurant is clean and well maintained located just off the San Sebastián River and has beautiful views of surrounding marinas. This was our first time visiting and were previously told that the shrimp and grits were highly recommended. I will say they are very good but would rather have them with Cajun seasonings. We also ordered conch fritters and were disappointed in the small chewy pieces inside the nicely fried fritter. Recommended! ”
“ I ordered appetizers for my meal because we came in from out of town and didn't want leftovers. I had the crispy artichokes and ceviche. They were both tasty. I didn't expect the artichokes to be "breaded", but it made it unique. It was the perfect amount of food. The service was great. We sat outside as they were packed and we didn't have a reservation. It was cold, but they had heaters. ”
“ When we arrived, there was a guy doing valet parking which was very strange because he was not parking our cars far away, but right into normal parking spots. So, that was a bit annoying. Service from our server was wonderful! He did a great job explaining the specials and giving us recommendations! The salad was great and fresh! I ordered the spicy shrimp linguine and It was good; Shrimp and pasta were well cooked! I do wish there was some more flavor to the sauce and it wasn't spicy at all. I also had a bite of the grits with gravy and that was absolutely delicious! I wished I had ordered that! Nice ambiance here; good place for a date night or a nice meal with a group! ”
“ I have not one negative thing to say about Saint Augustine Fish Camp. From the location, the service, the ambiance, and for sure the food....five stars across-the-board!! A tiny backstory: My family and I lived here from 2016 to 2019 and when we left, we had a few "hometown favorites". When we returned on our most recent visit, five years later, we were sad to see most of them were no longer in business. We decided to try the fish camp after multiple failed attempts at trying new places. Boy are we glad we did!! Talk about a new favorite!!! When you first pull into the parking lot, the red brick building stands out against the bright blue sky, and it sits perfectly on a tiny piece of water. Once you're inside, you become one with the open kitchen and you are greeted with a smile. All of the staff were top tier...from the hostess, to our server (Jason), to the food runners, to the management (Joey)...they were all attentive and extremely helpful in any and all ways possible. Now for the food...you're in for a treat! The portion sizes are worth every penny! The fry on the seafood was perfect and the batter was so crispy and full of flavor. My family enjoyed everything we ordered: Whole fried snapper, a huge plate of fried shrimp, 3 orders of gator tail, homemade potato wedges and hush puppies, and a smoked fish dip that was bowl lickin'' good. Counting down the days until I return! I hope your experiences is as wonderful as mine was, and I look forward to the Fish Camp being around for many years! ”
“ What a great find. Came for lunch and was absolutely amazed how awesome everything was!! Valet parking offered, greeting at door and immediately taken to a table. I had actually expected a short wait since the parking lot was full. I had barely been seated before my server came and explained all the lunch specials. I ordered my drink and appetizer which showed up in an extremely timely manor and the crispness of the Calamari was perfect. Soon after I finished that my meal was brought out. The portion since was perfect, 8 shrimp on the bowl of grits and had them blackened. AMAZING dish Definitely a place I will highly recommend while your in Saint Augustine My compliments to Allison my server that was point on with everything from suggestions to her pleasant demeanor and spot on timing ”
“ I have been to Palm Vally, Julington Creek and St. Augustine fish camps. This was my second visit to this location. Stopped in around 4pm for an early pre-concert dinner. Their blackened catch with Grits, Collard Greens and Tasso Ham Gravy is one of my favorite dishes of all time. The dish is plentiful and rich. Fish is always cooked well. The grits are creamy and thick. The collards have a bite with a hint of sweetness. Finally, no one would blame you if you wanted to bathe in the Ham Gravy. This location is tucked behind Old Towns main square with beautiful water views. Their icy fish display is weaker than other locations and the bathroom needed a decent dusting, but otherwise the place is spacious and clean. Staff is always friendly. ”
